PTI Appoints VP of Strategic Sales

Pharma Tech Industries (PTI) has appointed industry veteran Richard Loughlin to the position of vice president of Strategic Sales. Mr. Loughlin will be responsible for servicing existing contract manufacturing customers as well as identifying and securing new business relationships. Mr. Loughlin will be based in the NJ area.

Mr. Loughlin has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Most recently, he served as director of contract manufacturing at Sanofi-Aventis US. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of strategic accounts for Instant Dx, and spent 13 years at Schering Plough.  

“As PTI continues to grow, we were looking for someone with big-company pharmaceutical experience and the ability to oversee several large projects at once,” said Carl Oberg, president of PTI. “Richard brings exactly that to the table. He has a proven track record, is well known and respected throughout the industry and, as a bonus, gives Pharma Tech Industries a strong foothold in the NJ area, which of course is among the most concentrated regions in pharma.”
